Alot of people asked me what I honestly think about Soulja Boy. Well, I sure do not call him hip hop or rap, and definitly not the future. You got to have respect him for making it at such a young age. I’ve seen some of those videos he got on youtube and some of them are pretty funny lol. With Arab. All he can’t do is make music. But does he really care? FUCK NO. The dude got money like crazy.
Do I listen Soulja Boy’s music? No. I do take the time to watch his newest video but I always end up closing it at the first 20 seconds of the song. And the dude needs to stop dancing.
Soulja Boy: Learn 2 rap and come back. You’re not writing history, you’re music won’t be rememberd 10 years from now. And oh remove the Tell ‘Em from your name.
I’m not on Soulja Boys dick or anything.. but his newer music is more unique then his older shit.. If you listen to “Im Zooted” all the way through you can def. tell he’s getting better with the lyrics.. as with most of his newer songs.. The style of his music is unique and he has so many artists trying to copy it.. so that does mean something. When you create your own style it lives as long as people follow it and people are def. following his style.
As for the dancing… its a part of Hip Hop and always has been, there’s nothing wrong wit the fact he loves to dance.. If I danced good and loved it I would rap about it to cause people love it!
Plus, he makes his own beats and although they’re not on timbaland or dr.dres level they are still good for a 17 year old.. He can only get better and he seems dedicated so he most def. will.
10 years from now he’s the type of person who can upgrade and learn to adapt to a trend or situation, I think he’ll still be around making more moves.. I check his myspace everyday for the simple fact he’s always got something new up unlike any other famous rapper.
That’s just my opinion, I’ve always watched as artists got big and studied how and what made them successful, Soulja Boy can do it and he’s got an early start.
